Education and admission
Pskov State University is a center of educational, cultural and scientific life of the Pskov region. PskovSU provides training in 86 Bachelor's programs, 40 Specialist's programs, 25 Master's programs, 19 Postgraduate programs. Training is carried out in full-time, part-time and correspondence forms of study.
The university has over 10,000 students, undergraduates and postgraduate students. The university widely implements innovative approaches to teaching and research activities.

Responsibility for updating and enriching the intellectual recourse of the society, implementation of continuous education of managers and professionals, provision of human resource capacity of the Pskov region in the sphere of further education is on the Lifelong Learning Institute of PskovSU. Today there are six units at the Lifelong Learning Institute, which offer a wide range of further education programs. Further professional education in Pskov State University is one of the promising areas of educational activities, an important component of the education system that integrates different levels and forms of education to have a more flexible learning path.
Library of Pskov State University is the largest among university libraries in the Pskov region. Library stock has more than 1 million copies of publications and represents a large collection of scientific, technical, humanitarian, socio-economic literature and fiction. Fund includes scientific, academic, reference literature, periodicals, thesis abstracts, regulatory and technical documents, rare books of the 18-20 centuries. The service system has 9 loan departments, 7 reading rooms, 2 electronic reading rooms, which are located in 7 educational buildings. Students and faculty have access to the electronic library systems containing publications on major investigated disciplines.
